Hats and lace: Previous Works in Progress

Back at school, with oodles and oodles of yarn and needles and knitting...

Jett's Puppy-hat is finished; I used a pattern from Last Minute Knitted Gifts, and then spent a good half hour with a styrofoam head and pins trying to figure out where to place the ears. The ears curl a bit, like a boxers. Hopefully Jett will love the hat :) Racquel, if you're reading this, the hat is on my mom's kitchen table. A second hat is on the needles, this one will be toddler size for my nephew. His sister's hat is finished, though I'm not sure if it will fit my neice's head perfectly - I'm worried that it will pop off her head as she races across the playground.

Sadly, no picture of my fabolous neice in her kitty hat, but here's a picture of the hat when it was a work in progress, back in June. Also on the needles back in June was this beauty: lace rib scarf. Gorgeous. I love it. Laceweight merino .... and I found a gaping hole where there shouldn't have been ... and now she's off the needles, frogged. However, I'll cast on again. Eventually.
