Time Lord Sock Issues

Since the Time Lord is up in the woods, almost sans phone and internet access, it was a treat to see him pop online for a few minutes earlier this evening.

In a fit of missing him (and in that semi-delusional state after I finish a big project), I told him that I wanted to start knitting him the Dalek socks right away.

Little problem.

Tia, who designed the sock pattern, notes that she uses Austrian (European) shoe sizing. Her pattern is for a shoe size 40 ... roughly 7.5 in US men's, 9 in US women's.

The Time Lord wears a US 13 in men's. That's ... well. That's kinda a 47 in European (I think).

I'm going to go into a corner and hyperventilate into a paper bag now.
