Why I haven't been here

So I need to explain the lack of posts, and the lack of knitting pictures.

1. I don't know where my digital camera is. I last used it in Central Park on February 16 (where I indulged in tourist-y things and took pictures of the skyline), but I have no idea where I put it after I got home. I already looked under my bed, and it's not there.

2. My darling, beautiful, neurotic 15 year old puppy Holly passed away yesterday. Holly was a good little dog, but this year she started suffering from seizures (lesion on the brain), and her kidneys began to fail. She hopped, loved eating lettuce, cheese, and eggs, played with Misty, and would run around the house like a maniac once or twice a day.

3. My surviving pup, is currently very confused, and it's been heartbreaking. On Thursday she was nudging Holly to play with her. Last night, Mist went onto the back porch and started pawing at the rug Holly had been sleeping on for the past few days (this rug was on top of their bed). My mother brought the rug in, and we think it's comforting Misty since it has Holly's scent.

4. I'm just plain busy. I finished my observation hours at Local Intermediate School yesterday, where the fourth graders all wanted books on puppies and other small baby animals. I'm currently catching up on homework for one of my library courses, and my goal is to develop and finish my WebQuest on Biomes by tonight.

5. I joined Ravelry. I'm "quietjaneeyre", and I have been looking at groups, patterns, and drooling over different types of yarn on the site. I love it! I already queued a whole bunch of projects that I want to work on.
