Mium mium

I usually stick to the Toll House recipe for chocolate chip cookies. Tonight I used the recipe in The Big Book of Cookies by Catherine Atkinson. A dear friend had given me the book for Christmas a few years ago.

There is no brown sugar, just an egg, flour, vanilla, sugar, butter, and chocolate chips. Ten minutes in the oven, and 24 small cookies were baked!

If I followed the recipe like a good girl, I would have had twelve big cookies. However, less is more ... so I dropped teaspoonfuls instead of tablespoonfuls of dough, resulting in twenty-four smaller cookies. All very delicious.

The cookies are that lovely blend of just moist enough and just crisp enough. Perfect for my mom (who loves crisp cookies), and for me (who loves 'em moist).
