There are some things a knitter should usually have.
A tapestry needle is one of them.
I need to graft the toe, and then I'll be done with the Monkey sock. Except... I'm visiting friends upstate and there are no tapestry needles to be found.
Le sigh.

I know downstaters think upstate NY is totally empty, but I assure you, we do have tapestry needles... =)
(grin) I know there's tapestry needles upstate, I just discover that I'm missing something when Knit and Be Happy is closed! :)
