I'm so proud of you trying to make this! I am getting ready to make a new 1770 corset to wear instead of the leather jumps I have been using. I am also hoping to make a Pet en L'air dress this summer...now if I can only remember to blog about it.

There is a really good article in this month's Threads magazine on Lap seams. It outlines how to do four different variations plus the traditional.
It is the issue with the orange and green bag on the front.
