Guests

In approximately 45 minutes, I shall have a house guest, hungry and waiting at my door.

There is just one problem.

I forgot to make the sugar cookies I promised said house guest.

Now, if I promised chocolate chip cookies, there would be no problem. I can make those up fairly quickly. Sugar cookies ... sugar cookie batter and I do not get along. We have differences of opinion. Long ago, the sugar cookie god and I came to a conclusion that if I buy the packet of pre-made dough (where all you do is crack an egg and add some water), I will be allowed to make somewhat non-burned sugar cookies.

This is not the case for tonight.

Though I could run down to my nearby (way overpriced) supermarket and pick up a tube of Pillsbury dough...
